External Structure & Formula
External Features
Cylindrical or flattened granules, approximately 2–5 mm in diameter, with a smooth surface free of mechanical impurities, facilitating automatic metering and feeding and stable extrusion; available in natural, milky white, or custom-colored.
Structural Composition
Matrix Resin: PE (polyethylene) is used as the continuous phase. LLDPE/LDPE/HDPE or other modified systems are also commonly used in engineering to balance flexibility, strength, and processing fluidity.
Flame Retardant System: Inorganic hydroxides are the main flame retardants, such as aluminum hydroxide (Al(OH)3) and magnesium hydroxide (Mg(OH)2). Flame retardancy is achieved through endothermic dehydration and dilution of flammable gases or oxygen; surface modification is used to improve dispersion and efficiency.
Additive System: Lubricants or dispersants (fatty acid salts/waxes) improve filler wetting and melt rheology; antioxidants (hindered phenols + phosphites) and light stabilizers (such as HALS) are used to inhibit thermo-oxidative/UV aging; nucleating agents can be added as needed to improve crystallization and dimensional stability.
Flame Retardant Principle
Heating → Flame retardant decomposes endothermically → releases water vapor to dilute oxygen and combustible gases → forms a char layer to block heat/mass transfer → flame self-extinguishes and smoke density decreases.

Process Recommendations (for engineering coordination)
Extrusion Temperature Window: Set segmented temperatures according to substrate and MI to avoid over-melting and melt fracture
Cooling and Traction: Appropriately increase cooling intensity and uniformity, control draw ratio/concentricity, and reduce sharkskin and internal stress
Die and Screen: Match mesh size, stabilize back pressure, and reduce melt fracture and precipitation
Coloring and Dispersion: Prioritize the use of highly dispersed masterbatches and surface-modified fillers to ensure stable color and electrical properties
