Chemically cross-linked XLPE material

Chemically Cross-Linked XLPE Material Compounds

Chemically cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) compounds are widely used in power cable manufacturing for the high-performance polymer insulation required. They are produced by adding a specific cross-linking agent to polyethylene resin, which undergoes a chemical reaction during processing to form a stable three-dimensional molecular structure. The resulting insulation exhibits excellent heat resistance, mechanical strength, and electrical properties, making it suitable for low-, medium-, and high-voltage power cables.

Product Detailed Specifications

Appearance

Chemically cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) compound pellets: Supplied as cylindrical or spherical, uniformly sized, free-flowing pellets with a smooth surface.
Color: Commonly available in creamy white or black (with carbon black added for enhanced UV resistance); other colors can be customized.
Odor: Odorless
Packaging: Typically in 25 kg moisture-proof polyethylene bags, with 500 kg or 1000 kg bulk bags available upon request.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight. Avoid contamination and high temperatures before processing.
This physical form ensures consistent extrusion performance during cable production, reduces material waste, and improves insulation uniformity.
