Product Detailed Specifications

Appearance

Cable sheathing LSZH materials are supplied as uniform cylindrical or lenticular pellets, typically 2-4 mm in diameter, with a smooth surface and consistent color. The material is available in black, gray, or natural (creamy white) colors upon request. The black compound is UV-stabilized for outdoor use, while the natural and gray versions are typically used indoors or for low-voltage cable sheathing.

Product Feature

Application

ZMS cable jacketing LSZH materials are widely used in the manufacture of various low-voltage, medium-voltage, communications, and control cables requiring enhanced safety and environmental performance, including:

  • Power Cables: 0.6/1kV and medium-voltage cables requiring a flame-retardant outer jacket.
  • Communication Cables: Sun-resistant and waterproof jacketing for data, signal, and fiber optic cables for indoor and outdoor installations.
  • Railway & Subway Cables: Suitable for tunnels, stations, and rolling stock, meeting stringent smoke and toxicity standards.
  • Solar & Renewable Energy Cables: UV-resistant and weather-resistant LSZH jacketing for photovoltaic systems.
  • Building Wiring & Control Systems: Environmentally friendly and highly secure for use in densely populated areas such as hospitals, airports, and commercial buildings.

Manufacturing Process of Cable LSZH Sheath Material

At ZMS, every batch of LSZH low-smoke, zero-halogen cable sheathing compound utilizes a precisely controlled, environmentally friendly production process, ensuring consistent quality, exceptional safety features, and excellent extruded cable processing performance.

1. Raw Material Selection

We use high-purity polyolefin-based resins, inorganic flame retardants (primarily magnesium hydroxide and aluminum hydroxide), and special additives to enhance flexibility, weather resistance, and processing stability.
All materials are RoHS and REACH compliant, ensuring the production process is non-toxic, halogen-free, and free of heavy metals.

2. Efficient Compounding

Using twin-screw extrusion compounding technology, the base resin and additives are melted, mixed, and uniformly dispersed.
The resulting compound exhibits excellent flame retardancy, a smooth surface, and uniform particle size, making it ideal for extrusion of cable sheathing materials across various voltage levels.

3. Cooling and Pelleting

The molten material is extruded, water-cooled, and then cut into uniform pellets, typically 2-4 mm in diameter. This process ensures consistent density, easy feeding, and consistent extrusion performance during customer cable production.

4. Quality Inspection

Each production batch undergoes rigorous testing, including:
Mechanical strength and elongation testing (IEC 60811)
Flammability testing (IEC 60332-1/3)
Smoke density and halogen acid gas emission testing (IEC 61034, IEC 60754)
Aging and weathering testing to ensure long-term stability
Only qualified products are packaged and shipped.

5. Custom Formulations

ZMS Material offers customized LSZH jacketing compound solutions tailored to customer applications—for example:
UV-resistant black grades for outdoor photovoltaic cables
Highly flexible grades for rail vehicles and control cables
Highly thermally stable grades for industrial environments

6. Packaging and Delivery

Each batch of LSZH material is packaged in 25 kg moisture-proof PE liner bags and shipped on pallets for safe transportation. We also offer customized packaging options, such as jumbo bags or vacuum-sealed packaging, to meet various export requirements. All materials are accompanied by technical data sheets and MSDS for customers’ reference.
