Silane cross-linked XLPE

Silane Cross-Linked XLPE Polymer Compound

Silane-crosslinked polyethylene (XLPE) compound pellets, also known as moisture-crosslinked polyethylene (PEX or XLPE), are high-performance insulation materials widely used in the manufacture of insulation or jacketing for low-voltage and communication cables. During processing, the compound is grafted with silane molecules onto polyethylene chains, which are then crosslinked using moisture and heat. This process creates a stable three-dimensional network structure, enhancing the polymer's thermal, electrical, and mechanical properties. Combined with excellent processability and durability, it is an ideal material for low-voltage cable insulation.

Product Detailed Specifications

Appearance

Silane-crosslinked XLPE compounds are supplied in the form of homogeneous, free-flowing granules designed for extrusion.
Form: Cylindrical or spherical granules
Color: Natural (creamy white) or black (UV-resistant version)
Odor: Odorless, non-toxic
Packaging: 25 kg aluminum-plastic composite moisture-proof bags, 500 kg or 1000 kg bulk bags available upon request
Storage: Store in a dry, cool, well-ventilated area below 30°C. Avoid moisture before extrusion to prevent premature crosslinking.
